Course Overview
The SMU Bachelor of Accountancy is the top-ranked accountancy degree in Singapore and consistently ranks in the global top 5 for accounting research (UTD list). For Sri Lankan school-leavers, it's a direct path to the Big Four (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) and to regional finance roles — SMU School of Accountancy alone places ~85% of its cohort into accounting and finance internships across all four years.
Curriculum is 4 years including a mandatory internship and overseas exchange. Students can stack a second major (Finance, Analytics, Strategic Management) without extending the degree, and qualify for direct entry into the Singapore Chartered Accountant (SCA) Qualification after graduation — the local equivalent of CA Sri Lanka but with international recognition.

Academic

- check_circle SAT (1350+) or ACT (29+) recommended but not mandatory for Sri Lankan A/L holders.
- check_circle Personal essay and admissions interview (Zoom for overseas applicants).
English Proficiency

- check_circle TOEFL iBT: 93 Overall.
- check_circle Cambridge English C1 Advanced (CAE).

Career Outcomes & PR
SMU BAcc graduates have one of the highest fresh-graduate employment rates in Singapore — 95%+ within 6 months. The Big Four (PwC, Deloitte, EY, KPMG) hire the bulk of the cohort; others go into investment banking analyst programmes (Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, DBS), MAS, and tech-sector finance teams (Shopee, Grab). Graduates qualify for a 1-year LTVP, then convert to an Employment Pass.
