Curtin University Dubai
Course Overview
Curtin University Dubai's Bachelor of Science (Nursing) is delivered under the same curriculum and accreditation as Curtin Perth — Australia's largest nursing school. The degree is accredited by the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC) and graduates are eligible for full Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) registration as Registered Nurses, AND for Dubai Health Authority (DHA) licensure. Clinical placements (1,000+ hours) are split between Dubai (Mediclinic, Aster, Saudi German Hospital, NMC Specialty) and a final-year placement in Perth at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner, or Fiona Stanley.
Sri Lankan applicants choose Curtin Dubai Nursing for the unique dual-registration outcome (DHA + AHPRA), Dubai's tax-free working environment (typical RN salary AED 8,000-15,000/month tax-free), and the post-graduation employment pipeline at major Dubai hospital networks. Registered Nurse is on Australia's MLTSSL — graduates can transition to Australia for PR via 189/190 visa. The Sri Lanka Medical Council also recognises AHPRA / DHA-registered nurses with bridging requirements.
