Course Overview

The University of Milan's MSc Management of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MIE) is a two-year, 120-ECTS master's taught entirely in English in Milan. Students choose one of three tracks: Digital Innovation (digital marketing, digital transformation and Industry 4.0 strategy), Entrepreneurship (new-venture creation, intellectual property and social enterprise) or Finance for Innovation (corporate finance, venture capital and sustainable finance). Shared core courses include Advanced Industrial Organization, Corporate Finance, Management of Innovation, Performance Management and Control Systems, and Quantitative Methods. Every student earns credits through an internship or lab, with placements of two to twelve months possible in Italy or abroad.

Milan is Italy's business and start-up capital, and La Statale is the country's largest research university and its only member of the League of European Research Universities. For Sri Lankan business, economics and management graduates from Colombo, Sri Jayewardenepura, Kelaniya, SLIIT, NSBM or CINEC, the programme offers a European management master's at a fixed fee of only a few hundred euros a year, because Sri Lanka is in the university's lowest fee group. Italy's 12-month 'attesa occupazione' permit lets graduates stay on to look for work in Milan's consulting, finance and corporate sectors.
