MSc Computer Science
University of Warwick
Course Overview
Warwick's MSc Computer Science is a one-year conversion-friendly master's run by the Department of Computer Science (consistently a UK top-10 CS department). The taught core covers algorithms, machine learning, software systems and data analytics, paired with electives in cyber security, AI, computer vision and theory — followed by a 3-month individual dissertation supervised by a research-active academic.
A strong choice for Sri Lankan graduates targeting industry rather than a PhD — Warwick has tight links with WMG (Warwick Manufacturing Group) and Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Consultancy Services, Capgemini and Deloitte recruit directly from the cohort. The campus is 25 minutes from Birmingham International Airport, simplifying the move from Colombo.
