Course Overview

Trinity's MSc in Computer Science is a one-year taught Master's run by the School of Computer Science and Statistics — Ireland's oldest CS school, sitting in the QS top 100 for the subject. Sri Lankan applicants pick a strand (Data Science, Intelligent Systems, or Future Networked Systems) and combine taught modules with a substantial summer dissertation.

Dublin is home to the European headquarters of Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Microsoft, and Stripe, and Trinity sits in the middle of the "Silicon Docks" tech cluster. Graduates qualify for Ireland's Third Level Graduate Scheme — a 2-year non-renewable Stamp 1G that lets you stay and work in Ireland after the degree, with a path onto a Critical Skills Employment Permit and, eventually, EU long-term residence.
