Course Overview
University of Eastern Finland's Master of Public Health is delivered through the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Kuopio campus — Eastern Finland's main medical-sciences hub. UEF has Finland's largest health-sciences faculty and is widely considered the top Finnish university for nutrition, public health, and clinical epidemiology research. The 2-year, 120-ECTS MPH covers epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, health economics, environmental and occupational health, global health, health promotion, plus a substantial Master's thesis often in collaboration with Finnish national health-data registries (which are among the world's most complete and research-accessible).

UEF MPH graduates qualify for Finland's 2-year post-study job-search residence permit — among the longest in the EU. EU Blue Card threshold (~€3,827/month gross in 2025) is met by qualifying offers.
