Course Overview
Sauder's full-time MBA is a 16-month program based at UBC's Vancouver campus, structured as a 4-month integrated core followed by a 3-month internship and customisable specialisation tracks in Finance, Product & Service Management, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, or Business Analytics. The class is small by design — around 110 students — and Sauder has consistently placed Sri Lankan graduates into Vancouver and Toronto roles at Amazon, Microsoft, RBC, and Lululemon.
Vancouver's tech corridor (Amazon, Microsoft, SAP, Hootsuite, Mastercard's AI hub) and its position as Canada's gateway to Asia make Sauder a strong fit for South Asian candidates pivoting into product, tech consulting, or sustainability-focused finance. The program also runs the Creative Destruction Lab venture-streaming track for founders.
Entry Requirements
Academic

- check_circle GMAT 550+ or GRE equivalent — Sauder is GMAT/GRE-required (no waivers for international applicants).

English Proficiency
- check_circle IELTS Academic: 7.0 Overall (min 6.5 in Reading & Listening, 7.0 in Writing & Speaking).
- check_circle TOEFL iBT: 100 Overall (min 22 in each section).

Sauder MBA graduates qualify for the 3-year Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) and have a clear runway to Express Entry PR. Around 90% of the most recent class were employed within 3 months of graduation, with strong placement into Vancouver tech (Amazon, Microsoft, SAP), banking (RBC, BMO, TD, Scotiabank), and consulting (Deloitte, KPMG, EY-Parthenon).
