University of Sydney (Sydney Business School)
Course Overview
The Sydney MBA at the University of Sydney Business School is a full-time, intensive program built for mid-career professionals with at least three years of work experience. Sri Lankan applicants typically come in with 5-7 years across banking, FMCG, or tech and use the cohort (capped at around 60 students) to pivot into consulting, strategy, or general management roles in Australia or back home.
The curriculum runs through six core management modules — strategy, finance, marketing, operations, leadership, and accounting — plus a Global Industry Project where teams work directly with companies like Atlassian, Westpac, and Telstra on real strategic problems. Sydney sits in the AFR/QS Top 50 globally and is the only Australian Group of Eight business school in the FT MBA top 100.
