Singapore University of Technology and Design
Course Overview
SUTD's Master of Architecture (MArch) is a 2-year accredited professional degree at the Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD) pillar — Singapore's only architecture school built around computational design, digital fabrication and sustainability from the ground up. The program is recognised by the Board of Architects Singapore for licensure, and graduates are eligible to register as architects after the standard practical training period.
The curriculum runs heavy studio hours alongside electives in parametric design, Rhino/Grasshopper workflows, urban design and tropical building science. For Sri Lankan architecture graduates from Moratuwa or City School of Architecture, this is the most direct route into Singapore practice — and the Employment Pass pathway that comes with it.

Career Outcomes & PR
MArch graduates qualify for practical training at Singapore practices including WOHA, DP Architects, RSP, ONG&ONG and Kerry Hill Architects en route to BOA registration. The Employment Pass route into Singapore is straightforward once you have a sponsoring firm — MArch holders typically clear the EP salary threshold. Sri Lankans with this degree are well placed for both Singapore practice and senior roles back in Colombo.
