Course Overview

MCI's Master of Arts in Business in Management, Communication & IT is an English-taught, 120-ECTS programme built around digital transformation and entrepreneurship. The curriculum is deliberately interdisciplinary: roughly 41% business management, 25% information technology, 13% communication skills and 21% master's thesis. Classes run from Wednesday midday to Saturday afternoon, which leaves room for internships or part-time work during the week. Students can also add an optional double degree with the University of Nebraska (USA) or Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences (Finland) at no extra tuition.

MCI (Management Center Innsbruck) is Austria's leading 'Entrepreneurial School', a private university of applied sciences with strong ties to industry in the Tyrol and across the Alpine region. The programme suits Sri Lankan graduates who already combine business and technology, for example a BSc in Business Information Systems or Management Information Systems from SLIIT, NSBM, IIT, APIIT, Moratuwa or Colombo, and who want to lead digital projects rather than code full-time. Fees are higher than at Austria's public universities, but MCI's merit scholarships can cut tuition substantially, and Austria's 12-month job-seeker residence permit gives graduates time to enter the EU job market.
