Course Overview
UCL Laws sits inside the world's top 10 law faculties and the LLM is its flagship taught programme — designed for qualified lawyers and strong law graduates who want to specialise. You select four modules from over 70 options spanning international commercial law, public international law, human rights, competition, tax, and dispute resolution, plus an optional dissertation.
Particularly relevant for Sri Lankan attorneys who want to deepen specialist expertise (commercial arbitration, IP, public international law) and pick up a credential that strengthens chamber applications, in-house counsel roles at multinationals, or academic / judicial careers back home.
Entry Requirements
Academic
- check_circle A minimum upper-second class UK Bachelor of Laws (LLB) — or equivalent overseas law degree (Sri Lankan LLB with second-class upper / GPA 3.3+ is the typical floor).

- check_circle Two academic or professional references (admitted attorneys may use a senior counsel reference).
- check_circle Application fee of £90; 10% tuition deposit required to secure your place after offer.
English Proficiency
