LLM (Birmingham Law School Dubai)
University of Birmingham Dubai
Course Overview
Birmingham Law School is ranked in the UK top 25 (Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026), and its Dubai LLM is delivered by the same faculty who teach in the UK — useful for Sri Lankan lawyers who want a Russell Group postgraduate qualification but need to base themselves in the GCC for work or family reasons.
You can take the general LLM pathway or specialise — Birmingham Dubai offers International Commercial Law, International Dispute Resolution, and Energy & Environmental Law. Modules are written for an international audience: commercial arbitration (DIFC, ADGM, LCIA), shariah-compliant finance, energy regulation in the GCC, and cross-border M&A. The dissertation is a 12,000-word piece supervised one-to-one.
