Course Overview
University of Oulu is Finland's northernmost research university and a major centre for wireless communications and mechanical engineering research — Oulu was the original home of Nokia's mobile-phone development, and Nokia Bell Labs still runs major operations in the city. The BSc in Mechanical Engineering is delivered through the Faculty of Technology and covers thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, solid mechanics, materials science, manufacturing engineering, machine design, control systems, mechatronics, and a Bachelor's thesis. Oulu is also the centre of Finland's growing aerospace / drone / autonomous systems ecosystem.
