The degree is structured around a flexible major-minor system — Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Strategic Management, Information Systems, Operations Management, plus joint majors with Mathematics, Economics and Software Engineering.
Desautels' Honours Investment Management programme (the Kunin-Lunenfeld Visualization Lab and the McGill Investment Management Fund running a real CAD 11M+ student-managed portfolio) is a signature credential. - check_circle Sri Lankan A/Ls: 3 A grades — Mathematics is required (Combined Maths or Pure + Applied), strongly preferred from Commerce or Bioscience streams with Maths.
- check_circle Cambridge / Edexcel International A-Levels: AAA with Mathematics.
- check_circle IB Diploma: 35 points overall with 6,6,6 at Higher Level including HL Mathematics (Analysis & Approaches preferred).
- check_circle Two essay-style application questions through the Minerva online portal.
- check_circle Personal interview not required at undergraduate level.
English Proficiency
- check_circle IELTS Academic: 6.5 Overall (min 6.0 in each component).
- check_circle TOEFL iBT: 90 Overall (min 21 in each component).
- check_circle Duolingo English Test: 115 Overall.
- check_circle Waived if your school qualification (A/Ls, IB, Cambridge International, Edexcel) was taught and assessed entirely in English — most Sri Lankan applicants from English-medium streams qualify with an MOI letter from the school.
