Course Overview
Hanyang University's Business Administration degree offers a Global Management Track taught in English, run by Hanyang Business School alongside its Korean-taught track. English-track students do not need TOPIK (Korean) to start and study the full business curriculum, from accounting, finance and marketing to strategy, operations and organisational behaviour, in English with Korean and international classmates. Hanyang is ranked 155th in the QS World University Rankings 2027 and 117th in the world for Business and Management Studies (QS subject rankings 2025), and its business school is one of the most established in Korea.
For Sri Lankan school leavers with good A/Ls in Commerce or any stream (or Cambridge/Edexcel A-Levels), this is an affordable route to an international business degree in the heart of Seoul, with humanities and social-science tuition of about KRW 5.3 million a semester and merit scholarships of 50% to 100% awarded at admission. Studying in Korea also builds valuable ties to the Korean conglomerates that trade with and invest in South Asia, and the D-10 job-seeker visa lets graduates look for work in Korea after graduating.
Entry Requirements
Academic
- check_circle Graduation (or expected graduation) from high school; applicants and both parents must hold foreign nationality.
- check_circle Sri Lankan G.C.E. A/L (Commerce stream preferred, other streams considered) or Cambridge/Edexcel A-Levels are suitable qualifications.
- check_circle Selection is by document screening; this track accepts first-choice applications only, and transfer applicants cannot apply.
- check_circle Apply online at oia.hanyang.ac.kr and post the required documents; final certificates must be apostilled or consular-authenticated.
English Proficiency
- check_circle An English proficiency certificate is mandatory: TOEFL iBT 80 or higher, or IELTS 6.0 or higher, valid on the first day of the online application.
- check_circle Applicants from countries that Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs recognises as English-speaking are exempt; Sri Lankan applicants should plan to submit a test score.
- check_circle TOPIK (Korean) is not required for English-track students.

Career Outcomes & PR
Graduates of Korean universities can apply for the D-10 job-seeker visa to look for work in Korea, then switch to an E-7 professional visa once employed. Hanyang business graduates go into management trainee, marketing, finance, supply-chain and consulting roles, including overseas-business teams at Samsung C&T, Hyundai Corporation, LG, SK, CJ and Lotte that value international staff. Sri Lankan returnees fit graduate programmes at John Keells, Hayleys, MAS, Dialog and Colombo's banks, and roles supporting the growing Korea–Sri Lanka trade and investment relationship.
