Bachelor in Management (BSc)
ESCP Business School
Deadline detail: Rolling admission — apply early, places are allocated round by round
Course Overview
ESCP's Bachelor in Management is a three-year, 180-ECTS undergraduate degree with an unusual structure: you spend each of the three years on a different one of ESCP's European campuses, choosing from Berlin, London, Madrid, Paris, Turin and Warsaw. This is not a study-abroad semester bolted onto a domestic degree — the multi-campus rotation is the degree. ESCP was founded in Paris in 1819 and is the oldest business school in the world; it holds triple accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, and the school reports more than eighty nationalities across the bachelor cohort.
The curriculum pairs management fundamentals — accounting, finance, marketing, economics, statistics, strategy, organisational behaviour — with a genuine liberal arts and humanities component covering philosophy, history, geopolitics and literature, on the argument that managers who have only studied management make poor managers. The third year opens up through majors and electives, and internships or social-impact projects are built in rather than optional. Teaching is primarily in English, with some courses in French, particularly on the Paris campus.
For Sri Lankan students coming out of Cambridge, Edexcel or IB, this is one of the few undergraduate business degrees where the international exposure is structural rather than marketing copy — you will have lived, studied and worked in three European countries by the time you graduate, in three languages' worth of business environments. Two things to plan for honestly. The first is that moving campus each year means dealing with a new national immigration process each time, and the Sri Lankan passport makes that administratively heavier than it is for an EU classmate — ESCP's mobility office handles the process, but you should ask exactly how it works for a non-EU student before you commit. The second is that your post-study work rights depend on which country you finish in, not on ESCP as an institution, so decide that with intent rather than by default.
Entry Requirements
Academic
- check_circle A completed secondary school qualification recognised for university entry. ESCP assesses a wide range of national systems individually.
- check_circle Cambridge or Edexcel International A-Levels: three subjects; competitive files sit at A*-B, and Mathematics is strongly recommended given the quantitative content of the first year.
- check_circle IB Diploma: typically 32+ points, with Mathematics at Standard or Higher Level.
- check_circle Sri Lankan GCE A/L in the Commerce or Physical Science stream is assessed on its own terms; applicants with three good passes plus strong English are considered, though the Cambridge, Edexcel and IB routes are the more common entry for this school.
- check_circle The selection process includes an online application with academic transcripts, a motivation statement and an interview; ESCP looks hard at international outlook and language capability, which is what the multi-campus model demands.
- check_circle There is an application fee, and admission is rolling — early rounds have more places and more scholarship money available than later ones.
- check_circle Non-EU students need a study visa for the country of the first campus year and a further permit for each subsequent campus move. Confirm with ESCP's mobility office how the transitions are handled for a Sri Lankan passport holder before accepting an offer.
- check_circle Proof of funds is required for every one of those national visa applications, not only the first.
English Proficiency
- check_circle Teaching is primarily in English, so English proficiency is assessed for every applicant.
- check_circle IELTS Academic: 6.5 Overall is the usual benchmark; 7.0 for the London campus year, in line with UK visa expectations.
- check_circle TOEFL iBT: 90-100 Overall depending on campus.
- check_circle Cambridge English: C1 Advanced.
- check_circle Waived where your secondary education was taught and examined entirely in English — Sri Lankan applicants from Cambridge and Edexcel International A-Level streams and IB schools generally qualify with a school letter confirming the medium of instruction.
- check_circle Some courses run in French, particularly at Paris, and ESCP expects students to build a second language during the degree. Free language teaching is provided at each campus, and by graduation students commonly hold working competence in French, German, Spanish or Italian alongside English — which is a substantial part of what makes this degree employable in Europe.

Career Outcomes & PR
ESCP reports very high placement for the bachelor cohort, with roughly half continuing directly into a master's degree — often ESCP's own Master in Management — and the remainder entering employment. Graduates go into consulting, banking and financial services, luxury and consumer goods, technology and startups, and the corporate graduate schemes that recruit across Europe; the trilingual, tri-country profile is exactly what the pan-European employers screen for. Post-study work rights depend on where you graduate rather than on ESCP itself: France grants a job-search permit to graduates of qualifying diplomas, Germany offers an 18-month job-seeker permit, Spain and Italy each run their own post-study routes, and the UK Graduate Route gives bachelor's graduates a period of unsponsored work — check the current rules for the country of your final year, and treat that choice as a career decision. For Sri Lankan returnees, an ESCP bachelor's is a strong entry credential into the management trainee and graduate programmes at John Keells, Hayleys, Aitken Spence, MAS, Brandix, Dialog and the listed banks, into the Colombo offices of the Big Four, and into the family-business succession route where an international management education plus European exposure is genuinely valued.
