Course Overview
NUS Computing is consistently ranked #1 in Asia and #4-8 globally for Computer Science (QS, CSRankings, THE). The Bachelor of Computing (Computer Science) is a 4-year, 160-credit degree run from the Kent Ridge campus, with concentrations available in artificial intelligence, algorithms & theory, computer security, database systems, multimedia, parallel & distributed computing, programming languages, and software engineering. Two semester-long internships are built in (NOC — NUS Overseas Colleges — places students at Silicon Valley, NYC, London, Munich, Tel Aviv, Shanghai or Beijing startups for 6-12 months at full intern salary).
Sri Lankan demand is extremely high — NUS Computing is the most competitive non-Ivy CS programme in Asia, with an acceptance rate around 6%. The MOE Tuition Grant (a partial scholarship + 3-year service bond in Singapore post-graduation) drops effective tuition to ~SGD 19,650/yr and the bond is fulfilled by working at any Singapore-registered company. Salaries at completion: SGD 5,800-7,500/month at Google/Stripe/Shopee/Grab; PR through Employment Pass → SC pipeline.

Academic

- check_circle Sri Lankan GCE A/L: 3 As (Physical Science stream) — Combined Maths A required; competitive applicants trend 3 A's at z-score 2.0+.

English Proficiency
- check_circle Cambridge / Edexcel A Level English (Use of English / General Paper) at pass — accepted directly.

- check_circle TOEFL iBT: 92-93 Overall.
- check_circle Waived if your secondary qualification was completed in English (most Sri Lankan applicants from Edexcel/Cambridge International streams qualify).

Career Outcomes & PR
Eligible to apply for Singapore Employment Pass on landing a qualifying role (MOM minimum salary threshold SGD 5,600/month for fresh graduates in tech). PR pathway via Singapore Permanent Resident scheme after ~2-3 years on EP. NUS Computing grads dominate Google Singapore, Stripe APAC, Shopee, Grab, ByteDance, Meta. Median starting salary: SGD 6,400/month (~SGD 76,800/yr).
