BA (Hons) Interior Design
Raffles College of Higher Education Singapore
Course Overview
Raffles College of Higher Education is the Singapore campus of the Raffles design network, with a long-standing reputation across Asia for design education. Its BA (Hons) Interior Design is a studio-based programme covering spatial planning, materials and finishes, lighting, technical documentation, sustainable design, and the digital toolset (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Adobe). Small cohorts, practising-designer tutors, and live commercial and residential briefs give students a strong, portfolio-led grounding, and Singapore's dense hospitality, retail, and luxury-residential market provides ample exposure and internship opportunities.
Sri Lankan applicants choose Raffles Singapore for an accessible, design-focused degree in a safe, English-speaking city four-and-a-half hours from Colombo, with quarterly intakes that offer flexible start dates. A creative portfolio strengthens the application but a strong academic profile can suffice for entry. Singapore allows graduates to apply for work passes tied to employment, and Raffles' regional studio links open doors across Southeast Asia. The credential and portfolio also travel well back to Sri Lanka's growing interiors and hospitality-design sector.
