Manchester Global Futures Scholarship (PG)
The Global Futures Scholarship is the University of Manchester's flagship country-targeted award for international postgraduate students. Worth £10,000 deducted directly from international tuition (or £18,000 for select African countries), it is awarded for September entry on the standard one-year taught Master's. Sri Lanka is included on the eligible country list.

2:1 Bachelor's Degree
Hold a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or international equivalent) — typically a Sri Lankan first-class or strong second-upper qualifies.
Manchester Offer Holder
You must already hold an offer for an eligible full-time Master's course delivered at the Manchester UK campus before the scholarship application opens to you.
Self-Funded
Award is for self-funded students only — not available to candidates already receiving a full external sponsorship or another Manchester scholarship.
No Prior UK Study
Applicants who have previously studied in the UK are not eligible. Excluded programmes include MBA, MArch, MLA, PGCE, and Clinical Medicine / Dentistry.

Apply to a Manchester PG course
Submit your application for an eligible Master's programme via the Manchester online application system.
Wait for the invitation email
Eligible offer-holders are invited to apply by email — invitations go out from mid-December 2025 through to the day before the deadline.
Complete the scholarship application
Submit the short scholarship form by the deadline communicated in the invitation email — typically a few weeks after the invite is sent.
Accept your offer
Successful candidates must firmly accept their Manchester offer and meet all conditions by the published date to retain the award.
