Eindhoven University of Technology
Course Overview
The MSc Architecture, Building and Planning at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) — one of the world's leading technical universities and consistently top-tier for engineering and technology (QS) — is a two-year, English-taught Master's that combines design studios with the science of building. Students specialise across architecture, urbanism, structural design, building physics and services, or construction management, working in a research-intensive environment closely tied to the Dutch high-tech and construction industries around the Brainport Eindhoven region.
The Netherlands is one of Europe's most accessible destinations for Sri Lankan students: the entire programme is in English, tuition is far below UK/US levels, and graduates qualify for the 'orientation year' (zoekjaar) — a one-year residence permit to find skilled work, with a clear route to the EU Blue Card. TU/e's design-plus-engineering approach produces graduates who are employable in both architecture practices and the broader built-environment and construction-tech sector.
