MIT Sloan MBA
MIT Sloan School of Management
Course Overview
The MIT Sloan MBA is a two-year, full-time programme built around the school's "mens et manus" (mind and hand) ethos — meaning Sri Lankan applicants spend less time on textbook cases and more time working with real companies through Action Learning labs. The median admitted student has five years of work experience and a GMAT around 730.
After a structured Core semester, the curriculum opens up: students pick from 100+ electives across Sloan and can cross-register at MIT's engineering and computer science departments — which is why the school punches well above its weight in tech, fintech and quantitative finance placements. The Entrepreneurship & Innovation track and the Sustainability Certificate are the two most popular specialisations.
