Course Overview
The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) at UC Business School is a three-year, 360-point degree with majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, Marketing, International Business, and Information Systems. The programme is accredited by AACSB — UC is one of only two AACSB-accredited business schools in New Zealand.
Sri Lankan students benefit from a small-cohort feel (UC enrols about 19,000 students total) with strong industry ties to Christchurch firms — Kathmandu, Skellerup, Westpac NZ, and EY/Deloitte/PwC/KPMG all recruit on campus. The Accounting major satisfies CA ANZ and CPA academic requirements, opening direct routes into chartered accountancy in NZ, Australia and back home.

Career Outcomes & PR
BCom grads are eligible for New Zealand's 3-year Post-Study Work Visa (PSWV). The Big Four accounting firms (EY, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG) all run UC graduate programmes, and Accounting/Finance majors are on the Green List for skilled migration. Common destinations include ANZ Bank, BNZ, Westpac, Fonterra and Kathmandu's Christchurch HQ.
